Saltgrass Steak House

We arrived in Houston yesterday afternoon.  We decided a steak dinner sounded good, so we went to a restaurant that we ate at when we were in Houston over the summer.  It is called Saltgrass Steak House. There are several locations in Houston.

We ordered mushrooms as an appetizer.

Our dinners came with a side salad.

I ordered the lunch portion of Pat's Ribeye.  I chose steak fries as my side. The butter on the ribeye is a garlic butter.  Mmmm!

My husband ordered the shrimp platter.  He has had their BBQ shrimp in the past and really liked them.  He ordered onion strings as his side.

The food was really good.  My steak was thin, but it was full of flavor.  They offer lunch portions everyday until 4 p.m.

The only thing I was not thrilled about was the waitstaff.  When the salads were brought out, three people brought them to us.  When our dinners were brought out, again three people came to our table.  It definitely was overkill and I felt like I was being swarmed.  They were nice, but it was a bit much for me.

I really like this place and the prices really are not that high for a steak place.  If you are in the Houston area, I highly recommend giving them a try.
