Kooky Canuck

Jeff and I ate here on a Saturday with some friends who live in Memphis.  Our friends chose this restaurant for us because they follow this blog and know the type of food that we like to eat.  They did an excellent job in their selection of this restaurant.

Man vs. Food filmed a show here when the restaurant was called Big Foot Lodge. The name had to be changed due to a lawsuit.  Adam took what was then called the The Sasquatch Challenge.  It is now called the Kookamonga Challenge.  The challenge is eating a four pound burger in 60 minutes. Adam lost.

We started our meal with an appetizer.  We chose the Pick 3 Kooky Combo. Our three were the Fried Pickles, Buffalo Tenders and BBQ Egg Rolls.  The appetizer was delicious.

I chose the Yonge Street Burger.  It has two burgers, American cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms and bacon along with their signature sauce.  The burger was delicious.  I loved the signature sauce as well as the grilled mushrooms.  The fries looked like they would be soggy, but they were not.  They had a nice flavor to them.

Jeff ordered the Canadian Burger.  It had Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese, grilled onions and BBQ sauce.  He enjoyed it.

Our friend, Lee, ordered the South Beach.  The South Beach is a patty pressed Cuban style with ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles.  He said it was really good.

Our friend, Donna, ordered the Fried Ham and Cheese. It is an American Cheese sandwiched between slices of ham then breaded and fried.  The waiter told her it was an excellent choice.  Waiters never seem to say that to me.  LOL   She enjoyed it.

We all had to ask for to go boxes because we couldn't finish our meals.  The food was delicious!

The waiter was very friendly and attentive.  This is definitely a place that I would like to eat at again.
