Davie Ale House / Miller's Ale House

We were looking for a good place to eat on a Saturday night and the menu that I found on the Internet looked good.  The reviews were not all good as some complained about the service, but we decided to give it a try.

We were seated promptly and our waiter took our order in a reasonable time.  We did notice that two other tables were having problems with their waitress.  Another couple came in and were seated by us.  No one came to wait on them and they asked the hostess who walked by if she could help. She asked if they seated themselves and they told her no. They told her someone seated them. She said it must have been someone on the waitstaff.   She said she was the hostess and they were in a section without a waitress.  She said she would see if someone would wait on them. She came back and said that no one wanted to take the table, but they could move if they wanted to do so.  The couple was not happy with that answer, so they left.  Ten minutes later, another couple was seated at that table and they had a waitress immediately.

The menu has many items to choose from including steaks, seafood and pasta.  I chose one of the specialities which is baby back ribs.

Full Slab of Baby Back Ribs, Fries and Slaw
The baby back ribs were very tender.  I wasn't fond of the BBQ sauce though.  The fries were stale. I didn't care much for the slaw as it was pretty dry.

Jeff ordered a side salad and a shrimp dinner.  He enjoyed both.  He was brought out a fresh basket of fries and they were very good.

Shrimp and Broccoli- Sorry can't find the name of the dish on the menu.
We enjoyed eating here, but they definitely have some issues with some of their employees.
