Shula Burger

Shula Burgers are owned by Don Shula who is an NFL legend and Hall of Fame Coach.   I told Jeff I wanted to try the burgers while we were here, so when we saw the restaurant yesterday, we ate there.

Orders are placed at the counter and the food is brought out to you.

The counter.

Inside the restaurant.
I ordered the Shula's BBQ Burger which is a double cut peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce.  This burger was delicious!  I loved the BBQ sauce for one thing and the burger and the bacon were so good!

Jeff ordered the French Onion Burger which has caramelized onions, double gruyere cheese, garlic mayo, crushed garlic croutons.  He loved it!  It is quite a compliment when he loves food, so you know it had to be good.  He even gave me a bite to try.

We decided to share an order of  50/50 which is fried peppers and fried pickles.

Fried Peppers and Fried Pickles
The fried pickles were so good!  The seasoning on them is perfect.  I think they may actually be better than Smashburgers. Smashburgers were my favorite until these.  These pickles may have ruined it for all future fried pickles for me. They are just that good.  I only tried one pepper and it was good, but I was there for the pickles.

I wish there were locations other than in Florida.  This is one of those places that I would love to visit again and again.

  1. I agree. After reading your post, I wish there was one in Indiana. I love how they stamp the burger buns. Now I'm hungry!

  2. Stamping the burger buns has become such a normal things... It in a way, brands the type of burger your eating... So many counter service places are doing this now. BurgerFi, ShakeShack, SmashBurger, Shula Burger... seeing a pattern? I just went and was very disappointed. Maybe the mystique of counter burgers has been lost on me...

    1. Sorry you were disappointed. We went to a different location. They should all be the same, but restaurant chains can vary from location to location.
